Roundworm, Hookworm and Tapeworm can also affect your family

While human infections from these worms are extremely rare, cases have been documented. The good news is, these parasites can be easily prevented by treating your dog with MILBEMAX.

How do people become infected?

• Humans contract roundworm through the ingestion of contaminated dirt. This can happen to children who play on the ground and put their fingers in their mouths.

• People may become infected with hookworm by touching or accidentally ingesting contaminated sand or soil. This may happen in common situations like working in the garden or walking barefoot on a sandy beach.

• Tapeworm can be contracted by the accidental ingestion of infected fleas or through contaminated soil.

What do these worms do to people?

• Roundworm larvae migrate through the body causing sickness. If they reach the eyes, they can lead to vision problems - even blindness.

• Hookworm cause itching lesions while penetrating and migrating through the skin.

• Tapeworm may form cysts which infiltrate and damage vital organs including the liver and lungs.

* Your vet may recommend Milbemax Dog quarterly for protection against intestinal worms, or monthly to include heartworm protection.
